Click here for the uncensored version of today's comic. A lot of thought went into today's comic, because I knew what had to happen but I wasn't sure exactly how I should go about it. I'd debated doing 3 or 4 different versions of the last scene to see which worked best, but most of the ideas that I came up with just simply weren't true to the vision of the storyline. After all, there's a reason that Gray went searching for help to deal with this guy and his army... He and his men are brutal, and I needed to really get that across. While I'm actually kind of proud of the last panel, because it looks pretty close to what I'd envisioned and I actually did a really good side kneeling pose, I was also somewhat uncomfortable drawing it because I honestly don't want bad things to happen to my characters. I like Gray, and wouldn't wish anything like this upon him if I had the choice... but this is a vital part of the story. In order to understand the character, you have to know where at least some of his pain is coming from.
